The Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.

About the job
Coordinate the Finance Assistants and verify compliance of payment vouchers with monthly expenses.
Monthly Financial prevision and report to Beirut for financial issues in collaboration with the Operations Manager. Ensures that all the recruitment of National staff lives up to DRC procedures and keeps all staff records up to date.  Facilitates the adherence of procedures relating to entry and exit of staff and visitors.
Duties
• To monitor the petty cash handled by the finance staff, regular operations and maintain cashbooks as recommended by the DRC HQ.
• To follow up on timely payment of the national staff salaries, the Volunteers incentives and all suppliers/partners’ invoices,
• To compile the accounting/financial data for the monthly report  and prepare the monthly accounting report as required by the DRC Beirut and HoO.
• To update the donors’ budgets follow up on a weekly basis in cooperation with the DRC Beirut;
• To participate to the drafting of the forecast monthly budgets based on donors’ budget, and share it with the operations and the finance department in in Beirut and To prepare the cash transfer’s request to Beirut whenever needed according to the monthly forecast budget agreed with operations and HOFA
• Under the supervisions of the Head of Office, responsible of the recruitment of National staff in DRC South Lebanon, in coordination with other departments and HR Beirut: advertisement of positions, reference checks, sends offers, and all related recruitment tasks;
• Ensuring data of newly recruited staff is properly recorded on both the staff list and HR software, Personnel information such as marital status, position, salary, leaves;
About you
To be successful in this role you must have:
a) Essential qualifications:
• University degree in Accounting, Business, finance or related area;
b) Essential experience:
• Fluency in written and spoken English;
• Good computer skills (Word, Excel);
• An appreciation of Lebanese labor laws / regulations
• Minimum of 2 years' relevant working experience.
We offer
An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 6 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from January 2015 and be willing and able to work in Tyre.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level C1, equivalent to a basic salary of $1,505 per month.
