Category : Consultant Location/City : - Id : 2987 We are seeking Communications Director candidates for an anticipated multiyear, USAID-funded agribusiness project called Integrated Agribusiness Sector in Egypt (IASE). IASE will address agriculture challenges in Egypt and is expected to: a) strengthen agriculture markets and trade; b) improve agricultural practices and value-added processing; and c) improve agricultural inputs and sector services.Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a communications strategy for IASE and oversee communications department.
- Lead development of project communications and marketing media including websites, publications, public events, workshops, etc.
- Advise on communications protocol with government of Egypt and United States government entities.
- Provide high-level editorial assistance to the publication of all project reporting and communications.
- Provide support to key project stakeholders, particularly industry and export associations, in external communications and marketing.
- Coordinate with HQ communications department to ensure accurate and consistent corporate branding.
Qualifications:
- B.A. in communications, marketing, journalism or other relevant field. Post-graduate degree preferred
- Minimum of eight years of progressive work experience in communications. Sector expertise in agribusiness, value chain development, or economics highly preferred
- Highly refined writing and editorial skills
- Knowledge of donor reporting requirements, USAID experience highly preferred
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Native proficiency in English required, proficiency in Arabic preferred
