DAI, an international consulting firm based in the United States, is currently accepting applications from candidates for long-term positions to support an anticipated agriculture value chain development program.

Since 1970, DAI has worked in over 150 developing and transition countries, providing comprehensive development solutions in areas including agriculture and agribusiness, public sector management, private sector development and financial services, economics and trade, avian influenza control, water and natural resources management, and energy and climate change. Clients include international development agencies, international lending institutions, private corporations and philanthropies, and host-country governments.
Areas of expertise sought include:
  • Agricultural production, processing and marketing
  • Value chain systems strengthening
  • International standards and certifications
  • Small and medium enterprise development and competitiveness
  • Water resource management including irrigation
  • Smallholder and farmer association engagement
  • Grants management
  • Monitoring and evaluation

Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree or in agriculture, agronomy, agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural business administration, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of agricultural sector experience including value chain development; increasing productivity, exports, or quality of products; food safety; agricultural market development; and related services.
  • Experience with international donors preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Fluency in Arabic and English required.
