Our core practice areas include public health, agriculture and food security, economic development, education, environment, humanitarian assistance, democracy and governance, and medical research. CAMRIS International in partnership with a small business is seeking junior and senior level administrative specialists to provide operational and administrative support services for an upcoming contract with the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Bureau for the Office of Afghanistan and Pakistan Affairs. We encourage experienced professionals to apply for the Administrative Specialist III who have a demonstrated interest in South and Central Asia, who embrace new challenges, and who are committed to promoting regional integration and sustainable development. Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.Responsibilities:The Administrative Specialist III will provide administrative and office support for assigned supervisor/manager or senior staff member. She/he will perform office administrative functions such as receiving, answering and routing telephone calls, setting up and maintaining alphabetical, numerical and/or subject files, maintaining calendars and coordinating meeting times, scheduling conferences and conference room facilities, booking off-site meeting locations, sending out invitations and keeping track of responses, creating and distributing meeting agenda, taking minutes during meetings and distribute them to attendees as appropriate and logistical arrangements for meetings and conferences. The Administrative Specialist III will manage the transmittal of incoming and outgoing memos. She/he will research and obtain information for routine and moderately complex reports and special assignments. This position will coordinate travel arrangements for individuals supported, and is required to coordinate the routing of documents/memos through the approval chain, following up on pending details, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Qualifications:
  • Junior: Must have at a minimum a BS/BA degree and 4 years of experience or a MS/MA/MB degree and 3 years of experience.
  • Mid-Level: Must have at a minimum a BS/BA degree and 8 years of experience or a MS/MA/MB degree and 6 years of experience.

All Candidates:
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Internet, and email applications (Google/Outlook) is required.
  • Experience in the use of database applications is required.
  • Experience with USAID is highly desirable.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple efforts simultaneously.
