Education
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) degree in electoral assistance, political science, international relations, law, public administration, or related field. A first-level
university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Work Experienceuniversity degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in political science, international relations, electoral administration, development management, conflict resolution or related area. Experience of working with a national electoral management body providing technical advice required. Headquarters experience working with the UN or similar organisation in supporting the administration and delivery of elections desirable.
Languages
Fluency in English and French (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of Spanish is desirable. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
Assessment
Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview.
