Job Summary / Responsibilities
The Assistive Technology Specialist for the Center on Technology and Disability (CTD) within FHI 360's Disabilities Studies and Services (DSS) Department is responsible for identifying,evaluating, and synthesizing assistive and instructional technology resources for the CTD online library.
  • Responsible for organizing webinars and other professional development events to support CTD's provision of universal technical assistance to a broad array of audiences within the U.S.
  • Writes fact sheets, guides, checklists, and other resources to support the delivery of both universal and targeted technical assistance to CTD audiences.
  • Supports the project's use of social media tools to disseminate information about Center activities and resources.
  • Contributes to the development of proposals designed to secure funding for the department's work in disabilities.
  • Provides technical support in the development and dissemination of tools, materials, reports, papers, and intervention for research projects.
  • Works closely with assigned team to ensure activities are implemented according to standard operating procedures (SOP's).
  • Writes and edits technical reports and documents.
  • Assists with publications, web pages, and presentations.
  • Conducts searches of published literature on evolving issues in assigned technical area.
  • Responds to requests and inquiries from internal and external staff.
